Frequently Asked Questions

My skill and passion lies with organic 1:1 interactions, whether its solo portraits, couples, or families. With that being said, I have offered elopement, small weddings, and some event photography services to those who have previously worked with me, who know and love my style of work, and who I would love to join on these sweet life moments. I put all that I have into my people, so if I take on a wedding it will be one of very few a year. You deserve the best on your big day, and a photographer who will show up 1000%. I cherish my artist self and (with past experiences) have come to know that the big weddings are just not for me.

Well, yes and no

Do you do wedding or event photography?

Question 1

I will guide you and the other participants through the session with poses and prompts that look and feel natural. My goal is to capture your geniune smile, joy, and authenticity - with some posing and all the natural interaction in between. I aim to create an environment that is relaxed and fun, while allowing you to tap into your own creativity and ideas. Know that I don't expect you to be a model, all I ask is for you to be yourself!

Absolutely.

I've never done a photoshoot before. Will you help with posing?

Question 2

Once your date is booked, I will send you a session prep guide that goes over some styling tips as well as what to bring to the shoot. For coordinating outfits, I have a website that is like a virtual dressing room with purchasable items for you and everyone involved. I will be here every step of the way to answer any specific styling questions you may have, as well as provide you with resources on where to shop and what to look for!

Good question, because when you look good you feel good

But what do I wear?!

You are my ideal client.

What if I have a crazy idea for a shoot and I'm not sure you'll go along with it?

Question 4

And I have a million ideas. We can find one that speaks to you. Just reach out!

You are also my ideal client

What if I want to work on a creative idea with you but don't have one in mind?

Question 5

Your photos will be edited with standard adjustments such as brightening, toning, and contrast that reflects my style of work. I can also adjust the finer details if needed, like light skin smoothing, eye brightening, and removal of stray/distracting objects in the frame. I celebrate our perfect imperfections, so if you desire changes in the integrity of your body, then I am not your gal. If you're like me, then you rejoice in the wind blowing through your hair, or the lines that appear from laughing too hard. As for the pesky blemishes or the scraped knee from your little one living their best life, then I got you.

A huge part of my process is an artist is the editing. When you work with me, you are trusting that I will provide you with the best of the best photographs from our experience. Just as a chef wouldn't serve an unfinished meal, I would not send unedited images.

You just have to trust me on this

How do you edit? And will you send me unedited photos?

Question 6

Turnaround time depends on your package selection! More photographs = more time. I put my heart and soul into my craft, and I work hard to deliver consistent and quality work. Though, I have been told I work faster than most. Generally, you will receive your images within 3 weeks after your session date. I edit galleries in the order of booking date, not session date. Therefore, the earlier you book, the better!

And I get it, maybe you’re in a pinch, or just seriously can’t wait to see your beautiful photographs. Any prioritized galleries may be subject to a rush fee.

It all depends

What's your turnaround time?

Question 7

There is a $50 deposit due at the time of booking. The deposit secures your date and time, and will roll over into the final balance. The final balance is due the day of the session. Fees, once paid, are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another date if there is bad weather or illness. Changes in date (besides bad weather) must be made 7 days before your session. Changes in time must be made 24 hrs before your session, but I strongly suggest sticking to the time frame I recommend for best light conditions.

- As for bad weather, that pertains to heavy rain, snow, unsafe air or driving conditions. Overcast/cloudy skies make for beautiful photographs, but if you had your heart set on a sunny day then we can reschedule with a small fee.

- If you are on vacation, and have only but a few options for dates, it is important that we discuss this ahead of time to ensure we can make it happen.

- Please remember that my work is extremely dependent on the weather. I want your session to be the best it can be, but sometimes our wonderful mother nature has its own plan. In order to stay within my means, and show up for each and every one of you with my best, I can only hold a few rescheduling dates a week, so flexibility on your end is so greatly appreciated!

The last thing I want is for you is to feel overwhelmed or stressed during the session. I will do everything I can to work with you if there is a need to a reschedule.

Life Happens, I get it.

What's your policy for rescheduling?
